Made in Pakistan. I could not find this information anywhere online. For some folks this could be a deal breaker. I took a chance, bought it, checked it, and now you know.
Reasonably priced hat but the quality shows. The crown is not perfectly symmetrical with the brim nor is the piece of leather used for the crown cut symmetrically. Other stitchings are also not quite centered. Not really noticeable from far away but becomes more apparent the closer you look at it. Looks as though it was scratched in the warehouse, like someone yanked it off a clip it was hanging on (view photo).
Besides those negatives, this is actually a pretty nice hat. Comes with a strip of adhesive foam in case the hat is a little bit too big. Size I picked fits my head fairly well. I believe I’m close to 7 1/8 and I ordered a medium. Not too loose or too tight, but having the chin cord really helps. Also 100% leather which is pretty cool but one mistake I made was not treating the leather before going in the rain which left water spots on the brim.
Because of its design, it is crushable. Good for if you need to pack it or if a lot of weight is put on it. You can easily pop it back out and continue using it. Very durable.
Recap: Reasonably priced Western style hat made in Pakistan. Stitching and cut pieces of leather aren’t perfect but fits well and comes with insert. Made of 100% durable leather but should be treated before going into the elements.
