Great Jacket
April 9, 2018
I bought my first Outback jacket in 1989, I would still be wearing it if not for an unfortunate divorce. I recently acquired this jacket as an all purpose weather proof garment. As I have come to expect the quality is top notch, the fit is excellent, and it looks great. I run on the hot side, and this coat is just right, I'm not sweating while wearing it in inclement weather, which is a problem I have had in the past with other jackets. I have recommended this coat as well as a slew of other Outback products to both friends and family. I've never had one person whom I've recommended get one of the many items they make regret it.

Great jacket

Hands down this is the best jacket I’ve bought for daily use on the farm in foul weather. My decision was based on the other reviews on here. I’ve worn the swagman in 20 degree weather with 20mph winds and never got cold. Rode my horse in steady rain in 50 degree weather never got wet or cold at all. By far the best in breaking the wind and waterproof to keep you dry. I’m very pleased with all my products through outback

Amazing jacket
February 23, 2017
I bought this Outback Trading Swagman in early 90’s and must say it is outstanding even now in 2017. Wind proof, not resistant but proof and water proof, again not resistant but proof. I have worn this is blizzards, rain storms, wind storms, day to day, work, out for the evening, hiking, camping, shooting, hunting, bow hunting, just about everything and every where you can imagine. It is warm, comfortable, well made, well designed, and I have the liner to make it pretty nice in even very cold temps. Its comfort range is amazing, mildly cool to down right cold, -10 f on a range one day for about 6 hours. Didn’t crack, freeze, or fail in any way and when the wind picked up, 20 to 25 mph it was still wind proof. Even after all these years snaps, zipper, and stitching is like new. This is my go to jacket for anything outside in less than perfect weather but I do have it in my car just in case. I just re-waxed it again for the who knows how many times and it is again like new. This is a jacket you buy ONCE, because you never need to replace it. Although having another one for different things can be good.

Favorite Jacket

My wife and I bought one of these coats and a duster 25 years ago during our honeymoon. They crept us warm and dry that Christmas and have continued to do so every year since. We have horses and other livestock so the coats get a rough workout. Yesterday was the first time in 25 years that I had to reapply the weatherproofing. After letting the weatherproofing soak in the jacket looks like it is brand new. It's not often you can get 25 years of use out of anything. It and the duster are my favorite coats.

We live in Oregon. My wife and I bought our first ones for a week long ride in Ireland. We tested them on the ranch in the rain and wind before the trip since our conditions are nearly identical in spring.. Used them every day on the adventure. We were comfortable in the wind, rain, fog; everything Ireland could throw at us. Now they are our everyday rough weather GO TO wear in Oregon.
