Behind Outback’s Fall 2025 Collection: Western Trends, Color Stories & Classics Reimagined

Every fall collection starts with a spark of inspiration. For Outback Trading Co., Fall 2025 was all about mixing timeless western heritage with modern-day style. Like every year prior, we wanted a line that could purchase pieces that would carry you from chores to rodeo nights, with colors, fabrics, and fits that speak to both tradition and today.

From the Arena to the Drawing Board

Our design journey began where western fashion lives and breathes: the NFR and the Dallas showroom. We watched what people were wearing, how outfits were being layered, and how merchandisers were telling their color stories. We also listened closely to our sales reps and western influencers. People who live the lifestyle every day and know what works in the saddle, at work, and out on the town.

Amy, our go-to voice on western fashion, kept us dialed into industry trends and colors, taking cues from the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse. Rich, earthy, and endlessly versatile, mocha became our grounding color, pairing beautifully with western classics like turquoise and silver.

Building the Color Stories

This year’s line offers three color stories for women and two for men, designed to give you a complete look from head to toe, all from Outback. Each palette blends everyday neutrals with pops of statement color so you can build outfits that layer effortlessly. Whether you’re reaching for daily pieces, functional gear, or something a little dressier, the colors work together for a polished yet rugged feel.

Old Meets New

We believe the best collections are a balance of fresh finds and well-loved favorites. This season introduces new standouts like the Ainsley Sweater. A western-patterned sweater that’s quickly become a team favorite. We’ve also revived pieces from our archives, because some designs never go out of style.

  • Quilted Riding Vest in Crème – A shorter, functional design that’s perfect for riding without rubbing against the saddle.

  • Hudson Shirt Jacket – Now in a fresh color that’s ready to become your new closet staple.

  • Cobar Vest – A functional favorite brought back from past lines for its versatility and layering potential.

You'll also see some longtime favorites like the Casey Hoodies, and Brianna are back, ready to layer into your everyday looks.

Fabric Focus: Corduroy Returns

Corduroy plays a starring role in Fall 2025, bringing a rich texture and durability that’s perfect for cooler weather. You’ll find it (or corduroy-inspired fabrics) in styles like the Georgia, Gidley, Atlas, Cillian, and Calvin, giving you pieces that are both rugged and refined.

Western Details That Matter

This season, details tell the story. The Loretta features smile pockets and boot stitching for a nod to classic cowboy shirts, while our Cattle Brand Shirts put an Outback twist on traditional western patterns. Every piece is designed with intention so you can build your look from Outback.

Fall 2025 is where tradition meets what’s next in western wear. From rich mocha tones to bold turquoise accents, from hard-working corduroy to modern layering pieces, every item was designed to work together, and work for your life. Whether you’re saddling up, heading into town, or chasing a little adventure, you’ll find the colors, fabrics, and fits that keep you looking sharp and feeling ready for anything.
