8 years not a stitch out of place
July 3, 2018
Love mine, has been hard used and not a single stitch out of place, and it has been thrown everywhere! Still waterproof, still comfortable, still the best raincoat I've ever had in my entire life.

The best raincoat I’ve ever owned!
December 4, 2017
I bought my Pak-A-Roo raincoat over three years ago. I’ve worn it in many rain storms and it has always kept me dry. I absolutely love the built in backpack. When I’m not wearing it, the coat is stuffed into the built in pack. Since, the pack is part of the coat, and compresses the coat into a small package, it always goes with me. Surprisingly, the wrinkles from being stuffed in the pack, relax very quickly. I plan on buying another one in Black for those occasions that Dark Olive is inappropriate. However, if it’s raining and I want to stay dry, I don’t really care what color it is. I bought the Extra Large so it will fit comfortably over any clothes I’m wearing, yet it doesn’t look sloppy if all I have on is shorts and a T-Shirt. This coat has kept me warm and dry in some serious rain storms and it’s long enough to extend over the tops of my rain boots. I’ve never worn this coat without someone asking me where I got it. It is both stylish and functional. If you are looking for great bad weather coat, look no further, this is it.

We've owned them for quite a few years and carried them hundreds of miles on the backs of our horses and mules. Very comfortable and does is job!

great product

I bought and wore this duster on a multi-day riding vacation in the Canadian Cariboo wilderness. I'm going back this summer and just pulled it out, reminding me of essential gear in the Pacific NW. I don't wear a riding helmet, but bought a cover for my western hat and had no problems with keeping dry at all. I prefer not to wear a hood for complete sight line visibility - it's the wilderness, after all! But with this duster, I had the envy of the other guests who were not prepared for the rain. I didn't have to alter my riding plans at all. The hat cover...well, a couple of laughs from the staff, but I kept my hat safe and dry and useful for when the sun came out!

Good winter shell
December 7, 2016
I had a tough time finding a replacement for an old Gore-Tex trench from Sportif. This comes close and has worked well as my winter coat, but is not as warm as the old Sportif. I got an XL to accomodate a fleece jacket underneath for really cold days but the L would have worked just as well and maybe helped hold in heat better without any underlayer. Very satisfied overall, great price.

Love it
September 26, 2016
Finally wore out the old yellow PVC slicker, so I read endurance rider reviews and treated myself to this. It is so much more comfortable, lighter weight, folds up smaller, is breathable, and keeps me dry in and out of the saddle for many hours. My horse doesn't mind when I put it on while in the saddle (he objected to the PVC one). Also, the red is much better looking than in the website.

Works great except for helmet allowance
September 18, 2016
Spent 3 hours wearing this with froggs togs ultralight bottoms as sweep rider on an organized but very rainy western Washington equestrian trail ride. This duster did its' job well, keeping me dry in the torso and upper legs, and not sweaty due to good breathability. Thigh straps and 2-way zipper well designed and executed, keeping me dry in covered areas and allowing zipper adjustment at the "bottom" for seating clearance in the saddle. The only change I would make is to the hood, whichj did not have adequate clearance for my Troxel Sierra helmet. This is an older Sierra, and might be superseded by the "low profile" sierra which might work better under the hood, but I had issues; either full coverage and loose the ability to turn my head (!!) or partial coverage and freedom of motion. They outperformed by frogg toggs bottoms, which will be replaced with the outback rain pants that share a product line with this duster; the 4 stars would be 5 if the hood worked better with my helmet.
