Useing Duck Dressing
December 21, 2018
Just bought can of Duck Dressing, AKA Duck Fat, to reproof cream full-length Outback Oilskin Duster. Cold day so I heated small sections with hair dryer, applied Dressing, reheated and rubbed in. I used a small sponge to apply the dressing. Suggest using gloves, hands started to burn a little after about 20 min. It took approx 1/2 can to do the whole coat. very tedious but worth the effort. The coat is at least 25 yrs old and looks like new. Been hanging in the closet for 20 yrs. Just moved back to Utah and decided to get the coat out for rain and snow. It was very dry but still had oil shin smell. After Duck back treatment it has original luster back. Can't see how brush would work, use soft cloth or sponge. Good luck
