Care Instructions:

Your oilskin can be cleaned using a dry brush to remove any dirt.

If it needs to be washed, use water only and allow it to air-dry.

To remove sweat and odors, you can mix 1/3 vinegar with water.

We also recommend re-oiling your oilskin once a year to maintain its waterproof qualities.

Orders placed on OutbackTrading.com between 11/15/23 and 1/15/24 will be eligible for returns or exchanges through January 15, 2024.

Return Policy

OutbackTrading.com can only accept return requests for orders placed on OutbackTrading.com that meet the following criteria:

  • ☑ Item is in “new” condition
  • ☑ Item is unworn, unaltered, and unwashed.
  • ☑ Item includes the original tags.

All returns must be initiated within the Outbacktrading.com Returns Portal. Any items returned to our warehouse without being processed in this portal will be refused.

If you reside within the United States, you will be charged a flat-fee of $8.00 USD for return shipping and a label will be provided automatically. This charge will be deducted from your refund. Please note: All original shipping is non-refundable and can be found under our shipping policy page.

If you reside outside of the United States, you are responsible for shipping the item back to us at your expense.

Your refund will be processed within 2-3 business days upon receipt of the returned item. Please note: the refund can take up to 5 additional business days to finalized depending on your card issuer.

Any returned product showing any type of wear will be subject to a deduction on the return credit at the sole discretion of Outback Trading Co.

Warranty Policy

Outback Trading Company provides a one year warranty on everything sold through Outbacktrading.com. We assess each warranty request on a case by case basis. Please contact us if you never received your order, received the wrong product, or believe you have received a defective product. If your order is determined to be eligible for warranty, we will either replace the product or provide a refund at no further cost to you.

Outback Trading Company offices are generally closed on US public holidays. Web orders received on these days will typically ship the following weekday.

Delays can and may occur that may be out of our control. Such as Holiday closures, Weather related events, Carrier delays etc. As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to get all orders out on time and as quickly as possible.

 

Cancelling / Editing Your Order:

Customers have the ability to cancel or make changes to their order order by viewing the Order Confirmation Page after placing the order. This page can be accessed by logging into your account on OutbackTrading.com or by clicking on the "View Order" button in your order confirmation email.

This is only valid before we begin processing an order. Once the order has been processed and shipped, we will no longer be able to make any changes and you will be unable to edit or cancel the order from the Order Confirmation Page.

 

SHIPPING WITHIN UNITED STATES

OutbackTrading.com offers multiple shipping methods for you to choose from when placing an order. Any shipping fees associated with an order are non-refundable.

Economy Shipping: Orders shipped using this method typically takes 3-10 business days to arrive. Most of these orders will be shipped out using UPS Surepost. 

USPS Ground Advantage: Orders shipped using this method typically take 2-6 business days to arrive. 

USPS Priority Mail: Orders shipped using this method typically take2-4 business days to arrive.

Please Note: All shipping methods offer ESTIMATED delivery time-fames but do not guarantee a certain day of arrival. All shipping fees are also non-refundable.

SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL

International orders from OutbackTrading.com will be shipped via USPS.

Unfortunately, we cannot give shipping estimates as the time orders take to pass through customs can vary. We do, however, provide a tracking number with each order shipped with USPS.

I’ve had my Gidley for two years now. I’m in Alberta Canada and I’ve hunted and camped in it year round since owning it. It’s held up great , has developed a nice worn in patina and I’ve been very happy with it.

The pocket storage is very good and can handle a days worth of items no problem.

I’ve hunted in it on a -20 Celsius day with a base layer and wool Jac-shirt underneath and I was comfortable enough to hunt all day. Any colder though and I’d be looking to add a down vest as well. Overall very happy with it and it’s performed as well or better than jackets of twice the price.

Great outerwear jacket

I love the fit - gives where it needs to give, doesn’t pitch or bind around the shoulders or underarms. It’s rugged and made for the outdoors; provides for full range of motion. I did have some dirt marks that showed up under the arms after 1 st wear that I’m concerned about getting off. I will wait until it’s ready to retreat . It will be my favorite jacket for sure. Great mix of style , comfort and practical work jacket.
